The vision of Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Education Trust is to provide free value-based education on the principles of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
With a noble goal of serving Swami’s mission, alumni of educational institutions at Alike and Muddenahalli established Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Education Trust in 2011. The vision of this Trust is to establish educational institutions in every district of Karnataka to provide free, value-based education along with academic excellence. Now Prashanthi Balamandira Trust has joined hands with Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Education Trust to further this cause. After Bhagawan left his mortal coil, four campuses have already been established in the districts of Gulbarga, Mandya, Chikmagalur and Bagalkot, and projects are being undertaken to build more such schools in the other districts of Karnataka.
This is a unique initiative as alumni from different parts of the country who benefitted from this holistic education have come together to further the cause of nation building by providing education absolutely free of cost, especially to the deprived and the needy in rural Karnataka. The institutions established by Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Education Trust are working tirelessly to impart value-based integral education, which comprises of Physical, Psychological, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual development, under the guidance of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. More than 1500 students are benefiting from these institutions and the Trust aspires to establish many more such institutions in near future.
Swami's mission continues with the establishment of new schools in the rural heartland of Karnataka under Sri Sathya Sai Saraswathi Education Trust in collaboration with Prasanthi Balamandira Trust. Already 6 new campuses have been established in remote parts of Karnataka. Even a teachers training institute under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Centre for Human Excellence has been started to offer degree courses in Science and Arts along with a Bachelor's degree in Education program. In June 2015, another residential campus for boys will be started in Bijapur District and another one in Bagalkot District.
