Divine Will Foundation
Welcome to Divine Will Foundation. This foundation was established by Sathya Sai Baba in His Subtle Form with a close group of His devotees during His first trip to the U.S. in 2013.
Swami directed that this foundation be His instrument in supporting the service (SEVA) projects that His US devotees participate in. Divine Will Foundation (DWF) is responsible for all aspects of coordinating His Mission in the U.S. and supports the efforts of His devotees in India and throughout the world. More than just a “funding arm”, DWF takes an active part in assisting those who choose to be involved in whatever way possible. This is an intensely personal process as Swami told us:
“My Mission is not about gathering funds, building schools or bringing up hospitals. It is about the personal transformation of MY Devotees as they progress from I to We to He.”
This is not a hierarchical organization but rather an association of devotees and like-minded individuals who adhere to the concepts of “Servant Leadership” wherein the “leaders” job is to support the personal growth and transformation of all involved. The commitment of those involved is to live their lives according to Swami’s teachings and to put into practice His directive to
LOVE ALL-SERVE ALL
DWF has been funding the various educational, medical, sustainable energy and water purification projects as directed by Swami as well as His visits to the U.S. Recently, He added the funding of the various Young Adult projects to DWF’s area of responsibility. The foundation also assists those anywhere in the US who wish to participate in any good works to help those in need in their communities.
DWF does not advocate any religion, group or sect. Much of DWF’s work is done without using the name of Sathya Sai Baba as the focus is on providing the needed help to all who are suffering not in publicizing Swami’s name or increasing numbers of devotees. Swami has directly told us not to do that and that we are to consider all good works as His. As Swami has taught us
There is only one religion, the religion of love
There is only one caste, the caste of humanity
There is only language, the language of the heart and
There is only one God and God is omnipresent
Swami directly appointed the board of directors and charged them with setting up this organization under U.S. federal law. Accordingly, on October 4, 2013 Divine Will Foundation was granted 501(c)(3) by the United States federal government. By virtue of this designation, all donations are tax-exempt.
