Sai Ram Singers,

Swami has specifically requested that all singers and musicians audition for the above choir.

Swami has requested for 2018, that we sing Christmas Carols, from all around the world, utilizing various languages to show the diversity & unity of His devotees.

When you are sending us your auditions please give a short history of your singing & musical experience.

ie…Any Previous Singing in Choirs/Groups/Self

What languages you speak? Are you a musician, if so,what is your instrument/s? Are you Soprano, Tenor, Alto, Bass?

This will be an International Choir. Last year, in 2017 we had participants from  Australia, Singapore, Italy, India, Germany, Russia, Poland, & America and we all had a happy time together!

The Choir will be performing for one hour on Christmas Day Evening – 25th December!  (All successful applicants are expected to be fresh, jetlag free, for the start of intense group rehearsals which start 10am December 20th at  Muddenahalli – all who are successful must know all the words to all the songs & your parts if applicable, before your arrival at Muddenahalli.)

Wendy Cameron will be the Choir Director this year ….. as per Swami’s instructions.

CHOIR MEMBER REQUIREMENTS 

a. The ability to blend/harmonize sing in parts e.g. Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass whilst singing with a group of people.

b. To be flexible whilst singing different styles & languages.

c. Be dynamic in your singing abilities, i.e. not always soft & not always loud.

d. To sing from the heart with love, extraordinary passion, energy & joy!

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS  
WE NEED TO HAVE ALL YOUR AUDITION RECORDINGS IN BY AUGUST 31st 2018…SOONER THAN THIS IS APPRECIATED !

Please choose one song from the list below to sing in English..If you are multi-lingual singer please sing part of the song in the other language  or languages you speak/sing in….OR choose two songs from the four songs below.

1.Silent Night  2. Mary’s Boy Child 3. Joy To The World 4.Feliz Navidad

ALSO-Please sing and send one extra song that you know very well in English. (No Bhajans please).When you sing your own chosen song, please choose one that can demonstrate your ability to sing in parts & harmony.( Suggestion – you could always Google a song with harmonies & sing over the top of it?!)

2.  In your audition please show that you have a grasp on RHYTHM and that you can sing IN TUNE! As well as that you have the ability to sing in parts. i.e. Alto,Soprano,Tenor,Bass – Have Fun!

HOW TO AND WHERE TO SEND AUDITIONS

Auditions ARE SIMPLE.  Here are some options:

1.Send a recording from your phone or device  (mp3 is best) to Wendy and Robert  Cameron  in Australia via EMAIL - bluehealers@iinet.net.au

 

2.  If you are singing against another song or backing track to demonstrate harmony etc… make sure YOUR voice is louder than the backing track. We want to hear it!   

 

3. Remember it’s for GOD!    It’s supposed to be fun and filled with heart and emotion!  (But of course Swami wants to hear everyone sing in tune and be unified!
